I love this comic so much! I'm glad to finally see some semblance of civility between the two of them. Hopefully, it lasts for a bit. And I'm glad to finally be getting some insight into their relationship: That things weren't always shitty between the two of them and that they are, in fact, friends who've only now just hit a rough patch. Or so I'm led to understand.

Maybe Cooper has (somehow) find out about how he was screwing the boss...I mean, that's ONE way to get a promotion...and win the bet...

I think he might have heard them conversing in the hall, though i can't say for certain. It seems like he might have figured out that something was up; but again, I have no way of knowing. Perhaps something will come later that'll be more definitive.

Although then again, it's possible Chelsea told him that Andy was going out to dinner with the boss. That would be . . . questionable to me if i were Cooper . . .

that's not what Tsundere means, Tsundere is a character archetype that isn't always tied to love :/ it literally translates to someone who is kind on the inside and prickly on the outside.

This comic is getting so emotional and great! I really love how the tension increased and reached this point; and I belive there´s something else big approaching; besides, that fury sight from Coop...that´s awesome

Is anyone else getting the vibe that they might end up getting together instead of Andy and Emery? I'm kinda hoping they won't (no offense!), it's just with how each relationship has been presented from the beginning and thus far, that Andemery seems like the objectively better relationship, at least romantically. I prefer Emery, especially with how poorly Coop has been treating Andy. He tried to sexually humiliate him in front of a large crowd, that isn't something friends or even healthy rivals do. It's really mean, or downright malicious if I can go that far. I want to see them be friends again, but I'm not sure doing so after all that's happened would be entirely realistic after a stunt like that, and how angry Coop seems to be all the time.

Was it even said what ruined their friendship in the first place? Bc I feel like whatever did must have been horrible to spark such animosity.

well the point of this so far looks to be a slow burn. The relationship is complicated and even needed more background info with the current side comic. Basically we dont have enough information to go off besides the fact that coop and andy did have a good friendship before, and that cooper clearly has some self-loathing issues and repressed gay thoughts thanks to a homophobic father. So the closest way he can flirt and explore those feelings with Andy without revealing his attraction is to be a bit of a bully. It's that kind of syndrome where I'm frustrated at you for making me attracted to you, but I don't know how to allow myself to accept this. This kind of tactic is very common with closeted and confused young men who don't know how to deal with exploring their gay/bi/pan feelings in a very het/masc world.

But either way the comic is only at the 32nd page and not so much has progressed so there's much more character development that needs to happen.

He tried to embarrass Andy on stage to win a bet, and when Andy got upset at him about it and started hanging out with Waldren, who was treating him better, Cooper decides to get nasty with him? Unless we see something change, I personally see no reason for Cooper to be an appealing choice.

Maybe Waldren will be a dick later and/or maybe Cooper will act nicer, but for now, I'm here for Daddy Waldren.

My issue here is that from all we've been shown in the comic, I see absolutely no signs of Andy and Cooper being "friends". Work rivals, yes, but not friends, so Chelsea saying that just feels off.

it's just a furry porn comic, so if there's dubious consent, cool, that's a theme people enjoy, including myself(which is why I liked that scene!) But this comic isn't tagged a dubcon comic, so a LOT of the people who are going to read it aren't going to like the character who is dubious.... about consent....

You know, not to defend the molester, but we are seeing things from Andy's rose-tinted glasses/contacts. Coop might just be THAT messed up inside. Doesn't make it okay, but it doesn't make him a monster either.

We also don't know the full extent of their background, and Andy doesn't seem to feel victimized as much as bothered.

Hell, he doesn't SLUG Coop for groping on him, he slaps him. And some of that seems to be coming from a place of frustration, considering that the comic clearly shows they have a complex background of some sort. Moreover, Andy doesn't come off as the type of flouncy gay that would slap over punch in a situation of actual molestation: he's nerdy, but not feminine. I'd say his decision to slap showed he wanted to express frustration and insult over defend himself from victimization.

Because that's the key with molestation: it's about feeling victimized by someone. It's VERY hard to say Andy feels victimized here, given his behavior and reactions. He doesn't immediately demand he stops. The comic holds several panels as Coop gropes and fondles him, and Andy's reaction is to pretty much take it. In fact, he only demands he stop (and rather quickly, I might add) when Coop calls him "princess", further blurring whether it was the fondling or the choice of insulting nickname that really set him off.

Yes, by the letter of the law, you could argue that Coop touched Andy without his express verbal consent, this should be considered sexual harassment. However, if Andy was truly bothered here, why didn't he go to HR? They still work for the same company, after all. Why not the police? Hell, if it REALLY bothered him, shouldn't the comic be lingering on him dealing with it as assault?

But no. That's not what's going on here. Andy tells Coop a page back that he can pay him for the bet in blowjobs (or was about to). He sighs "if only" in regards to Coop on the next. That is not how one behaves towards someone they see as a molester, and I'd honestly say Andy was seriously suggesting the blowjob through a smokescreen of trying to rile Coop up. Andy is sexually attracted to Coop; on some level, he DID want and enjoy what Coop was doing to him backstage.

That doesn't mean Coop isn't a dick for what he did, but Coop's got enough issues related to sexual orientation that I think it'd be very hard to prove he was doing that for the purpose of malice. I think it's far more likely that Coop did what he did out of repressed issues, and is in DESPERATE need of a therapist. As well as owing Andy more than one apology.

I forgot about this comic for a while but I'm so glad I found it again! I really like the pacing and the storytelling, the characters feel real. Also I double took a couple pages ago; it's not often I find characters I share my name with!

Oh man, I'm loving this comic! Look at Cooper's body language in the fourth panel in the car. Head down, eyes shut, looks kinda hunched over. He looks truly and deeply hurt from the things he said and/or the way he feels most of the time about Andy. And in the second to last panel after a laters from Andy, Cooper seems to perk up and sheesh, doesn't he ever look handsome, but also like he's been going through a rough time. He looks quite haggard. The details and markings around his eyes seem to SCREAM so. Just the way Cooper presents himself makes me intrigued to see A LOT more of these two and how they interact with eachother.

Wait a second. The looks on Cooper and Andy's faces in the third last and second last frames are almost identical to the sixth page of "Summers Gone!" Cooper again, with a look of longing for Andy's friendship and feeling ashamed for what he had done. Andy with his backward glance towards Coop. I'm not sure if it was intentional on the artists part, but it's a wonderful piece of deja-vu. Same faces, a lot of years have passed and nothing really has changed between them. I know what Coop's going through and he needs to be strong.

Bah, I'm getting to absorbed in this comic.
