Sometimes as an artist you have to pause and look at where you are at. I feel like I've been trying to pander to groups for so long that I occasionally lose sight of my own drive. I need to remember who I draw for. I don't create to please people, I don't create to get recognition, I create for one person. Me. This pic is so incredibly self indulgent, drawing in one of my own styles that I love the most, colouring how I wanted it to be done, drawing one of my most favourite characters from a webcomic that has been over for quite a while now, everything pulling together to make something that I am proud of. Whether or not anyone else appreciates my art doesn't really matter in the end, its up to me to appreciate my own art. I draw for me.
