You know that happy feeling when you put on an old jacket, reach into a pocket, and find a $20 bill you'd stuffed in there and forgotten about? Similar sensation when I got an email from
steamfox with a new pic for one of my stories, "Knocking Down the Fares," a story that I'm very fond of.
The picture shows action in the middle of the story. The narrator of the story ("Flash Harry" Kitson) and his crew of the armoured trolley Bock's Car have just pulled into the Ft. Bob Terminal on Krupmark Island, getting ready to make the second leg of their run back to base. However, their opposition, in the car Widowmaker, has pulled in, and Big Bad Kyrill, the conductor on the car, is showing off...
As usual with
steamfox, close attention and second and third looks at the picture are rewarding. Note, for example, the bursting light bulb, the "nose art" on the front (a better view here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18389480/ ), what looks a hell of a lot like an Illuminati pic on one of the front lights, and just plain loving detail on the works of the car.

I thought the Heilmann Electric locomotive was German built. Oh well. I have a sneaking suspicion, and you can correct me if I'm wrong, that the designer of the McKeen motor Cars when he was studying in Europe was influenced by the Heilmann and it's Diesel-electric steam drive.

I believe you'll get a kick out the whole website as it is devoted to the experimental loco's from around the world.
