Life's A Chibi: Create What You Love
It doesn't have to be perfect. You can point out all of it's flaws. It look crappy compared to others. Your technique could be wrong. You could have used the wrong materials. But as long as you look upon your creation and connect with it on a personal level and feel proud of it, than you know that no matter what anyone else says, you know you created something that you yourself believes is perfect, flawless, and speaks only to you.

I too easily forget to like what I work on, like many people, I'm too focused on trying to be 'perfect' and that in itself is a discussion for another time and place.
It can be easy to forget to try and like what you're doing, to sometimes accept that what you may do sometimes may not be up to a standard, but not to beat yourself up (too much) for it. It's easy to forget if and when others offer their comments. Sometimes it's meant to helpful, sometimes it can be.
Other times it can come off as more hurtful and discouraging than what might have been intended (or perhaps as some means to make that person grow a 'thicker skin') or something else.
I and others forget too easily, to sometimes simply enjoy what you're doing, even if it may not be so great. To ...have fun.
I feel like both the images, and the caption put that across well.

I dabbled in similar things when I was young, repaired a dog-plush I found on the front lawn where a real dog had abandoned it, sewed up the ragged holes with irregular hand-stitching and replaced an ear with scraps from my mother's quilt scraps. Still have the thing somewhere too, really should get back into doing some sewing, I'll need the practice for reupholstering the seats for my old VW Beetles! Have to do a bit of of cleaning/oiling/repair on my grandmother's sewing machine before I can use it though...
Cute image and good message, no matter what you create it wouldn't have existed without you, and that's kinda special!

...pretty much the story of our carriage project

Middle School, Home economics, making a stuffed animal for sewing.
I made a flannel lizard, and I put the buttons for eyes different sizes, and put them at separate points. I loved Home Improvement at the time (I still do), and I called him "Psycho Al."
Everyone thought the right eye on my lizard was the nose. I didn't care, it was special, and when I think about it, I kind of miss my little flannel lizard.
