Now this one is really interesting. I think that "mysterious" sums up both the creature itself, and the picture as a whole, especially the orbs of light floating around it, and the beams of light coming in from over its shoulder. It's beautifully done, though, and I find myself really intrigued by the combination of all that light and the dusky, shadowy appearance of the creature. With its expression and the tears in its eyes, it seems, at first glance, to be rather gloomy and melancholy, and yet the light all around it suggests a certain sense of hope as well. At least to me, it does. I'm always kind of afraid to guess too much about these sorts of pictures, for fear of seeming like I'm attempting to impose my own interpretation on them, but it does strike me as quite a blend of opposites that are existing in more of a sense of harmony than might be expected.

It's a gorgeous picture, too, and the creature is really quite lovely. Fantastic work all around!
