I am not sure...a year of painting off and on, but I went for months at a time without doing much more than pick at it. A very long time, to be certain.

Yes, the detail in this part alone of the picture, although just a fraction of the full piece, has enough detail in it on it's own to be a stand alone piece. Not only just a stand alone piece but a very detailed stand alone piece that I would expect to pay upwards of 50$ for. Magnificent job. I applaud you. And I doubt many artists would have the talent or perseverance to finish a drawing of this magnitude. ^^

That much detail may be time consuming but it's never stupid. This is a very lovely piece of artwork, and this zoom-in detailed version gets as much a "favorite" stamp of approval as the full sized version. This is absolutely superb!
