I love so much this game and this Wonderfull Story

What a beautiful icon, love the detail of the sun rays through the water and reflecting on Ecco's head.

I actually had to play this game with no sound at, because for some reason, when transporting a gaming console of the old days from one country to another even though still in the same continent, the sound would be incompatible, this might have been due to the antenna connections and I think AV scart and component have fixed this problem. But older consoles rarely had these as a solution, at least until the 32 bit era to my knowledge.

But I loved this game very much, I found it artistic, when most people wanted to kill things with guns and so on, I found I'd rather play this game.

Do you know the "Angry Video Game Nerd" ? He have an epsiode where he is shocked about Ecco, basicly why are there a game about a Dolphin...
Well when I was a child and here computers in that time were a big thing (I had a 386 for very long), and there was a show about compuert games weekly (like the magazine nintendo power, just in tv version). I saw there Ecco for the first time and I was enchanted by the game, that you can swim, jump and do stuff. Sorrowfull I did not been able to play the game, coz it was really hard to get games here, until a few years ago with the help of the net...
So sorrow that re-playing an old game is like killing a myth...

I just started playing Ecco, finally, like two months ago. My sisters and I never had a Genesis growing up - we were Nintendo babies. XD

I remember Ecco on the Sega Gamegear. Holy carp, that brings up memories! If my gamegear hadn't had a major aneurysm and begun refusing to play any cartridge for more than 30 seconds, I'd pick it up right now and start playing again.

What a pretty pic to compliment a pretty song. Also, nostalgia hit me pretty hard on this one.

I bought a dreamcast solely and specifically for this game. It remains one of my favorites (after Shadow of the Colossus, mind) and I still take out my dreamcast at least once a year to play through it.

The hanging waters levels completely captured my imagination. I still think they played a huge role in teaching me to dream - at least as far as game design is concerned.
