Saiko and Lavender by Michael Vega and Diana Sprinkle... in various jobs that change from issue to issue also with inks by Daria McGrain.
If you want to skip ahead you can always go to my webcomic site here: Saiko and Lavender Archive
Yet another page where I drew WAY too many versions of Saiko. Saiko really does get bored easily in fact she gets bored between Lavender saying separate words. That's part of the reason she seems so scatter brained.
We had actually tossed around the idea of doing a 64 page Saiko special where it explored what moving at faster then light speed really meant and how it's not worth your sanity to even wait for someone to finish their sentence because the rest of the world is sooo slow. We also had things like Saiko couldn't understand fish as pets because to her they never seem to move when she's looking.
Also it had cute bunny girls being set on fire. What's not to like?
Lavender IS actually burning here in panel 4 when Saiko hugs her. Lavender is allergic to love, it makes her break out in a rash.
In panel 5 Saiko's thought balloon has a little picture of her head popping off her neck. Also I believe this Graphic Novel version of this page fixes a mistake from the original issue 1 printing where Mike didn't ink in Saiko's ear. Checks. Yep. So now the joke works better I hope.
Oooohhhh, the car is on the next page!
You can also vote for Saiko and Lavender at Topwebcomics once a day... forever! Well, you could if you wanted to. Heh heh.
Saiko and Lavender originally ran as a 5 issue mini series in 2000-2001 and was published by Anti-Ballistic Pixelations, the fine people that do Gremlin Trouble. We then put out a one shot Spooktacular and collected the series as a graphic novel through Radio Comix. The comics and graphics are still available for order at my new online store: http://www.ghostcircles.com/store/s.....my-art/comics/
