I meant for this to be a simple quick drawing. That obviously didn't happen. Also stupid pun title is stupid. They're not even all felids, the two standing at the ends are canids.
So, bunch of characters that I've never posted before... and almost all of them are dead.
I've made ref pages for a few dead characters, but those were all ones that haven't been dead that long and still get shown in flashbacks. These are Twilight's messed up mob-family relatives who do get mentioned though, and I wanted to at least give some info on them.
From left to right: Finley, Baine O'Kearney, Sterling O'kearney, Mave O'Kearney-Krischardt, Jethro Krischardt, Reiner Krischardt
Finley is not a blood relative. He was a smart kid training to be a medic, but got screwed over by his own family. His relationship to the O'Kearney family started when he was about 15, with him seeking them out in hopes of getting out of his bad situation, and with him and Sterling stuck in a cycle of being in each other's debt. When Baine roped him into going on a hastily thought out job together, Baine nearly got himself killed, but Finley managed to save Baine's life. In return, Sterling cleared him of any debt he may have had to them, took him under his wing, gave him a place in the gang and got him back on his feet; though Finley remained feeling personally indebted to Sterling out of gratitude. Starting off as Sterling's lackey and gang medic, he eventually became Sterling's right-hand-man and trusted friend, and over time he ended up being considered part of the family. He was best friend's with Baine, had a close but complicated relationship with Mave, and was sort of a father figure to Jethro; and often played the role of the unbiased bridge in family disputes. He died when he went to confront who he thought was responsible for Jethro's supposed death.
(Died age 58, shown here age 27)
Baine was Sterling's son and the older of his two kids. He was best friends with Finley, but with a bit of friendly rivalry; mainly stemming from his cocky thrill-seeker nature, rather than any personal motives. He was supposed to inherit Sterling's place but his recklessness kept proving to Sterling that he wasn't competent. Being known mainly as a snarky jokester, who liked to stir up trouble for fun, made it hard for him to be taken seriously by anyone; Mave was the only one to ever fully see through the mask. After Mave's death, the effect it had on Baine was mostly ignored; most the concern went to Jethro, but even Finely and Sterling were more focused on their own grief, while he got left to deal with alone and got stuck having to be the stoic one. No one really noticed his sanity slipping, or at least realized the severity of his decline. He really started to lose it when he thought that Sterling would never see him as "good enough" and was considering skipping him in favor of Jethro as his heir, and that in some convoluted way, everything that lead to Mave's death was Jethro's fault. He snapped one day and tried to kill Jethro. Sterling disowned him and, without caring to hear him out, shot him. The circumstances of his death strained Finley's loyalty to Sterling.
(Died age 35, shown here age 27)
Sterling was a mob boss who had clawed his way to the top. He'd had a rough life and wanted to be sure that his family didn't have to scrounge at the bottom like he had. Originally from a human city, but left there to run things where he could evade the law. He also left behind his wife, who tried to keep their kids and use them as the only leverage she had against him; but with both of them being adventurous teenagers, they followed and joined him. He didn't care about anyone outside his own family, Finley being the one exception he'd ever made, and was capable of being completely cold and ruthless. He originally only intended to bring Baine into the "family business", expecting him to eventually take over, but gave into Mave's persistent tagging along. He raised Jethro the same way, actually bringing him in at even younger age, when he saw potential in him, but began to regret it later.
(Died age 66, shown here age 48)
Mave was Sterling's daughter and Jethro's mother. She wanted to be part of the gang more than Sterling would have liked but he allowed it. Her and Finley had a complicated relationship. Both had feelings for each other, but Mave had a rebellious streak and didn't want someone who was so close with her father, and that he was so approving of. She had Jethro young with Reiner, whom no one else in the family liked or trusted, but she still never really ended things with Finley. Finley was constantly trying to get her to end her rocky relationship with Reiner, and feared things wouldn't end well with them. He was right. Reiner ended up killing her when Jethro was only 12.
(Died age 27, show here age 25)
Jethro has a ref page, you can read about him there: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23652509/
(Shown here age 10)
Reiner was an abusive prick and only stayed with Mave when she had Jethro because her family had money. He used the fact that Jethro was his son, but was never much of a father to him. Jethro witnessed the fight between him and Mave that escalated to her death, and without thinking, grabbed a gun and shot him.
