He had many titles. Some more deserved than the others. Stormlord. Flamebane. Purple Lord. Lord of the Red Tower. The Dragons Son. And oh, so many others. But they all paled in comparison to the one that was shared by the three of them, the ones that ruled the continent and acted as the leaders of the dark armies. The ones that all acted under the direct orders of the god Taegan. The Darklords.

Before Vergal was the warlord in charge of an island nation that he is today, he was one of the three overlordesque high lords who helped Taegan, the unholy three-headed dragon god create, maintain and stabilize the cycle of light and dark in the world where Taegan settled down after being banished from his original world. Vergal was the first one Taegan called upon, and the one who he managed to pull from his old world to help him in creating order from chaos in the new world. However, Vergal was (and considered the other two Darklords) equal in strength when it came to his other Darklord friends, Synn and Atrej, who also helped in bringing Taegan's ways known to much of the world. The three managed great many feats until succumbing to internal strife and machinations of their god, Taegan, in preparation for a new cycle. Amongst other things.

The armour you see here is what he usually wore to battle and to any other event that did not take place within his Red Tower, Atrej's Green Tower, Synn's Blue Tower or the grounds down below that were shared by the three. After everything came tumbling down and Vergal's contract with Taegan was therefore complete, Taegan gifted Vergal his old armour and a few enchanted, magical weapons of his choosing before sending Vergal back to his old world. In his own world, Vergal has rarely been seen donning the armour, but rumours are circulating that an armoured and imposing figure has been seen as of late, standing above the highest spire of Vergal's palace at times. With its glowing eyes looking across the sea towards the mainland in the east of the island nation.
