If Gabriel Ames had one true friend on the planet, it would be Filius Gaitrex. Filius, born in the lands of the Necromancers was born on a day when the sun shined on his homeland, something that rarely happened. Gifted with incredible powers over shadows and darkness, this was all covered by his happy attitude and friendly demeanor. While Gabriel trained as a mercenary, Filius mastered his magic and the two finally reconnected shortly after the start of the Continental War.

Wielding an enormous scythe laced with dark magic and armed to the teeth with various items and weapons of darkness, Filius is a ruthless opponent, versed in all forms of combat and capable of slaying things far out of his league. His greatest achievement is the destruction of an entire Tank Platoon, spearing all 4 with chains of ash and dark magic and crushing them to pieces.
