You Don't Learn That In School: a Thursday Prompt

Sometimes inspiration just reaches out and smacks you right in the snout. This was the case here thanks to the wonderful art of
Jibbin_Kodiyak I immediately asked if I could use what he'd posted for my Thursday Prompt, and he graciously said yes. Because of this I was able to take another stroll back to the Whackadoodle Inn... and the words just flowed; which is the best experience for a writer ever.

Now... as an additional challenge to anyone who wants to try, there is a little ditty at the very beginning of the story - see if you can come up with another set of stanzas.

Quite an exceptional job capturing the hospitable feeling of nostalgia here, the chemistry between the old wolf couple and the grandson certainly brought back fleeting memories. It is great to see more of the Inn and those who reside there as well.
The ending was quite beautifully done, and certainly managed to bring out a chuckle.
