Part 1 of 2
Okay, so at Confuzzled this year I finally got to try Daryil Mk2 out properly, and in a Daryil-like costume to boot.
The new head was made
madebymercury, and not only looks more Daryil-like but also has wig hair which looks awesome (though it does tend to get caught in the head-zip, a problem the original head did not have).
The tail, sleeves and hand-paws are from the original Daryil made by Shirik.
Aside from the leather pants, Daryil is also sporting some cheap Chinese PVC boots that smelled of paint for the first day or two, and some PVC gloves. The gloves were one of those unfortunate edge cases regarding the decency rules, and were finally ruled out on the last day - after having already appeared in the fursuit parade and god knows what else. Sorry, guys!
So, enjoy the photos of the gloves, because there won't be many of them in future. I will be bringing the gloves to Anthrocon, but only for the 'All-purpose fox' video and possibly a couple of room-only photoshoots. (Questionable taste aside, they chafe)
EDIT: The shirt is from Fandom Fashions: http://www.fandomfashions.com/shop/foxy-guy-tee/
...I got a grey one in the off-chance and it worked really well.
Thanks to
Sofox for acting as camera jockey while I was suiting. Between us we took almost a thousand photos, 280 of which were of Daryil. Hence there are two best-of montages.
Enjoy!

With the gloves I had to get XXL ones that were 4-way stretch because I wanted them to go over the fursuit arms. That worked pretty well, all considered, though I needed help zipping them up because the fur got in the way. Next time I wear them (not at Confuzzled) I'll try and make some kind of insert slip to stop that happening - a piece of card or paper should do.
Note that Daryil's hand-paws detach at the wrist, so for the PVC gloves to work, I wore just the fur sleeves and not the hand-paws themselves.

What often happens on some zip-up items, like the leather jacket I've got is there's a little cloth lip on the inside of the inner zip which can stop things getting into the zip mechanism, but I can see how not only would that be much harder with fur but also as gloves. I'd recommend card other paper, since paper being bendy and all could very easily be mashed up by the zip, which could make things even more of a nascence.
Dammit, I was going to mention that in the description. Yeah, those were advertised on FA earlier this year. I got one roughly Daryil-coloured just to see what it was like and it worked really well with the rest of it. I saw a couple of other people wearing them too, but I think I was the only fursuiter.
I've commissioned Mercury to produce a fursuit top to replace the shirt but it'll not be ready until after AC. I'll do a test photo when I have it, but AC should feature the shirt again and I'm tempted to keep it as a backup anyway even when I have the top - the shirt is going to be a lot cooler, thermally speaking.
Meanwhile, if anyone is interested in the shirts, I've dug up the link and they are available here: http://www.fandomfashions.com/shop/foxy-guy-tee/
...as mentioned on the page, there are little while scratches on the edges where it was creased during print, but apart from that the dye-sub process they're using works astonishingly well.
