A teaser for Chapter 4 of the written story. The journey is still just beginning...
Shawntae used his new Cintiq graphics tablet for the first time in ages when drawing this commission. He used nothing else from start to finish while working on this. Pretty good for a first timer with a new graphics tablet. :)
I also learned that correct word for a dead tree is "snag" in ecology, so the post-war Viridian Forest is filled with snags.

The dead trees and crumbling toll booth looked positively haunted in the sickly chartreuse tinted air of the approaching rad storm. I've come this far, Viridian City was on the other side of that mess as well as the former home of the Poke-Combat Academy. I had to keep going; just a few more days and I would be able to see if Viridian City holds what I am looking for. Still, this sight bothered me. The shadows cast by the fading light upon the dead trees, the half-collapsed toll house, the sickly color of the air over the snags. The forest may as well have looked like a graveyard with wooden tombstones in this environment.
