Another teaser for chapter 3. Mature for nudity and the slightly bloody stitches.

A few hours after that terror-filled sprint through the Pewter City Elementary School, Caitlyn stumbles across a fitness gym that contained a shower stall that still worked. It may be irradiated water, and cold, but she wasn't going to pass up a chance to wash off the dirt and grime of the past week.
It also allows her a needed respite from the insane fucked-up nature of the Wasteland. And she intends to make the most of it to contemplate on what's happened (and perhaps mentally scour the terrifying parts from her memory).
She gets out of her suit, takes her Pip-Mon off, and takes out a bottle of Rad-X to counter the radiation in the water and a Medpak injector to help her body heal. The wounds she received a week ago fighting a pair of Raiders are gradually healing. The flesh around the stitches is still quite tender and she has to wash carefully in order to avoid tearing the stitches out.
Those injuries won't be fully healed for a couple of months at the earliest and they'll most definitely leave noticeable scars afterward. They will most likely not be the last scars she'll get in her travels.
She might as well reflect on that prospect while she's taking that shower.

I don't know if you're being serious about the twins' doing that or not. o_o I'm not sure Caitlyn would want to get involved either, especially with nightmares of the shadow ghosts making sleep difficult. This is a few hours after escaping the haunted school.
