I had recently returned home from a trip greeted by the house as they wished to hear the stories and see the girl that followed my tracks. It was, as predicted, a little hectic as everyone had something come up to talk about while I was away. Especially with the news as a house mate parted to make new company elsewhere, though not a sad leaving, she would certainly be missed. One night a quiet voice in the house and among the first few came to visit me while I worked at my desk. Starline approached me fairly timidly, which was quite unusual for her. When I asked her what was up she spoke up about how while she had lived here, she hadn't been working as much as she used to just because she enjoyed the time here.
It took me a while to think as to why this was a problem before I gave up and asked her. That was when she told me about her superior. Starline told me the last time she had gone in to work her superior began to ask question after question. Apparently Starline held her ground and was pretty quiet, but eventually snapped and let loose all the information about where she had been. When asked about why it was problem she simply scratched the back of her head and pointed to the door that led outside.
Following the notion, I stood up and popped outside to see a figure sitting on the railing. I approached and was asked several questions about my house and the residents. She was quiet herself and never looked at me, only staring out to the lake. Either she was jealous or lonely. Either way, the one thing I posed to her got quite the reaction. I couldn't have very well let her live the way she did and feel such feelings and with the excitement released in such a hurry of tackling me, she thanked me to be the new resident.
