S0C0M_3 and yours truly in Southern Illinois, just north of Carbondale as the solar eclipse was at about 80%. We barely got there on time due to the road construction Illinois is notorious for.

Lordy it was hot and humid there, your clothes stuck to you like a second skin.

We had total darkness for roughly 2 minutes. This was truly a religious experience in a sorts. And was on my bucket list. I've only seen 4 eclipses in my life and prior, the darkest I saw was a 75% coverage in Tucson in the 80s and the most recent prior to this one was roughly 50%.

This was a full 100%!
