Here we have Keane, once again somewhere in Germany, experiencing a sudden muscle growth, which he doesnt seem to mind at all. ;3
I wonder what caused this out of the sudden x3
Also, DJ got him the clothes of Finnick, because of him being a fennec, ya know.... it just fits to him, very tight now even x3
Done on A3 sized artist paper with markers and acryl paint

Oh, yay! A new finished masterpiece, indeed. It’s always great to see new art by your hands (not to mention that I’m grateful that I was able to witness the drawing process). From the first sketch and pencil strokes to the final result… a lot has happened here.
First of all, I can see that you did this one for a good friend – after all, you do like the character “Keane” a lot and I can tell by looking at the picture. This character is so full of life, expression and pride… power and strength… it really bursts right out of the picture.
So, some people may say “Aw, it’s a muscle poser again” but that’s what you love and that’s how the character’s physique is expressed in the best way possible. And frankly… I know that you could draw this character in a casual way and less posing… but why? This is what you love and what most people love. And after all, Keane does look rather casual here. It seems he was just taking a walk to this beautiful castle or building here… it’s a sunny day… and suddenly his friend (the one with the camera) did decide to take a picture of him. Just like “Keane, would you show me some of your muscles in front of these rocks? The sunlight is perfect… let your muscles shine and flex them for me!”
And Keane did flex his body and show off his glorious physique. ^^
Yeah, I don’t really have to point out the excellent anatomy and muscle work here… this is what you do best. But I have to point out how well the vascular details, fur, hair and clothing is done. Sure, he’s a real muscle beast, too.
Wow… this portrait here is over 5 years old:

A lot has happened in the last 5 years… his body grew immensely and also his face became much older. Yeah, time has passed and we can see that. You’ve drawn him more adult now and your whole style is certainly even more professional than 5 years ago. ^^
By the way… like I said: I don’t have to point out the marvelous muscle work. So, what can I point out?
Well… let me explain.
I’m always trying to find a “certain something special” in your artworks. After all, the anatomy and muscle work is nothing I can comment on anymore… it’s great and almost flawless and professionally done. So, what can I point out in THIS case?
In this particular artwork I love the warm, sunny atmosphere – especially expressed by the shadow cast by the character.
You may think “What? Why? What’s so great about this stupid shadow?”
Well, this shadow is a very strong indication for the weather and atmosphere in this particular scene.
I love how the shadow is hitting the bricks of that wall and covering the plants a little bit. It’s a fine shadow which expresses the weight and size of the character but also the warm climate in this scene. I can feel the warm sunlight coming from the left side… I can feel a soft breeze (shown by the clouds moving right) and everything just feels… good.
Yeah, it’s a “good feel” artwork… and the character – though it’s the focus of the artwork – would be nothing without the warm atmosphere and positive background.
The sunlight and clouds are moving from left to right – just like we Western guys are used to read our texts. And this is a very common and comfortable technique to make us feel home and great (even though you might not have thought about that). ^^
The only weird point (which is not a complaint) could be the fact that even the lateral muscles and every single strain of flesh can be seen even through the shirt… as if the shirt was wet. I know, this is just fantasy and yeah… the shirt is definitely too small here and NOT capable of holding or withstanding this power… it cannot hold the power and strength of these muscles!! XD
It’s surely not realistic but hey… WTF, who cares? It’s a matter of style and not realism here. By the way, I am also wearing such shirts under my jacket at work… and even my pecs and other parts of my chest can be seen through the cloth. Maybe, this here isn’t so wrong, after all… because Keane is even MORE bulky and strong. His muscles certainly COULD bulge through every piece of cloth.
Aw, whatever… I guess I’m feeling a little bit sorry for that shirt… XD
*kidding*
Yeah… that’s it… I can summarize the artwork with a few, fitting words:
Strength, power, warmth, happiness.
It’s a very positive, warm atmosphere… it makes me wishing for a warmer climate and sunny days. ^^”
So then, thanks for the new artwork and see ya next time!
