A sketch I quickly coloured of my floof baby as she would appear in the world of Felldew (owned by
Felldewan). In this world the snow leopards live in high mountains in a region I believe is called Norlinth. They have a celtic style clothing design which works super well for me because I LOVE anything celtic. I decided on making her more of a bow user as I think that would suit her well, she's quiet, sneaky and pretty deadly. Plus I've always loved archery.
It only helps that I've been playing a lot of Horizon: Zero Dawn lately.

Well I was obviously inspired for various reasons and the unusual environments gave me an opportunity to have some fun with snowstorm effects.
I didn't know that about the braids, I just happen to love them but since you mentioned it I reckon she would have a lot of hunts to count. I hate sitting around and being lazy so I can imagine I would be hunting and gathering at every chance! I didn't include them but I did also think that Akinyi might have some tattooes of sorts but that can always be added if I ever draw this version of her gaain.

The things I miss buried in 2k subs aaaaaa
A) Damn, that game looks grea- it's PS4 exclusive, fml ;_;
B) Celtic anything is automagically amazeballs. And so is Akinyi with celtic braids, like, the things you never know you needed to witness until you witness them o3o!
That, and your style fits the theme to a T, I feel. Can't quite nail down why, it just does =D

Yes, you said yourself that there are similarities. People searching for Viking inspired things should also find this. That is how best to use tags.
I really don't see how that would describe them as exactly the same thing. To be fair, fantasy Vikings are a far cry from actual Vikings. They were actually quite civilised, rode horses and used swords. Drawing fantasy themes from how people typically picture both the Vikings and the Celts nowadays makes sense.

Because I’m trying to explain to people that Celts and Vikings have a similar art style which is why many get them confused for each other being in the same ethnic group. Vikings are Germanic like the English and French. Celts are just Celtic all on their own.
Like the Trinity knot, there’s a similar to that called Odin’s Valknut:

Petty reasons for explaining I know but I just wanted to shoe the difference.

That's cool but... maybe explain that stuff to people who're actually mixing them up.
I have studied the history of Vikings quite a lot and obviously my own heritage too, it's a bit odd to be accused of mixing the two up when I haven't done so at all. The internet is full of people trying to correct each other and 'educate' but it'd be great if those wishing to do that could take the time to find actual confusions or mistakes rather than picking someone at almost random because they might have mixed it up. It's just a waste of people's time... like mine for example.
