During the darkest moment in Texas history, there is a few that stand above the rest. Placed in the middle of hell lies a shelter filled with advanced medical teams ready to aid in giving hope to the family's that are underly hopeless. As the thunder rolls on and the lighting cracks these medics work throughout the night. The patients don't stop being rushed through the door. One by one they come in and are moved onto gurneys, medics evaluate the ones who were once healthy. This storm has brought everyone to there knees. The patients scream in agony as the medics do there best to treat the ones needed most. its Embers turn to deal with a critically injured patient.. by his side is his partner shadow. The patient is wheeled off the ambulance and received by shadow, his goal is to get her admitted into the shelter. Ember is by his side, being the medic he evaluates the patient.. she isnt looking too good, the paramedics on-scene have already started a IV and by the time the patient was in his arms, they weren't doing so hot.. its now Embers responsibility to get this patient through the night. He will work long and hard with shadow to make sure this patient sees another day. Once again the lighting flashes and thunder cracks, the wind howls at the moon. In the distance our beloved flag, though be it beaten up, is still flying high in the air. A symbol of our pride.. one person helping another in greater need. This storm may have knocked Texas to its knees, but that will never stop us from rebuilding. we are Texas strong.
