Am a big fan of Tonko House's animated short The Dam Keeper, and recently finished reading the graphic novel follow-up to it, so felt like giving that unique and beautiful artstyle a go, but with my lizard boy. Didn't fully capture it, I'll admit, but I quite like the end result, even if it's a little basic. I followed the same basic process of rough lineart - block colours and then painting over it with detail and shading that they do, and obviously they do it a lot better, I ain't very good at drawiiiiing and they're masterful experts, BUT...thought I'd post it anyway.
If you don't know what The Dam Keeper is, I'd give it a Google, it's one of my favourite animated short films, and is available to buy and keep for a reasonable price digitally on Amazon, along with the graphic novel, which is available for Kindle and in a very fancy looking and feeling physical edition. Check 'em out!
