Sketchbook 084: Tempest Shadow

Saw the MLP movie when it first came out and obviously, I wanted to draw some of the characters that appeared in that movie. I wanted to draw most of them but only ended up drawing Tempest for now. I still want to draw Skystar and Capper at some point.
I tried putting a little more into the expression that usual, trying to get a look of contempt or scorn for the naïve who cling to things like friendship.
Things I am happy with in this picture include the mane and tail, the expression, and the armor. The thing I am uncertain about is the angle of her body. I don't know if I proportioned everything correctly.

That armor is incredible, those highlights really make the plating stand out and look like individual pieces.
nice little scowl you gave her too, and the little details on her main and tail are well done.
Also, I don't know if it was intentional but I like how the electricity is in a shape that resembles a complete horn.

The armor was hecka fun to do. I love doing highlights for some reason :)
Now that I think of it, the face, mane and tail were hecka fun as well.
Honestly, this is probably one of my favorite sketches that I've done so far
The horn I think was intentional, though I can't remember if that is 100% true.
