Not sure if he wants Eternal (because I’m sure a lot of people want Eternal) or if he just wants the candy. Either way, he’ll have a nice pumpkin head in a second!
Oh my god, Eternal, I love the background details Macha always puts in! (As well as your own, of course.) Soiled scarecrow on a snowy Sunday!

I think that's usually the technique fox's use to hunt rodents in the snow and with their hearing quite often accurate, so in this case I think Eternal's had the best idea to run and even get away with the prize of a single piece of candy. In this case I imagine the fox is going to end up getting stuck in the pumpkin or maybe demolishing it, providing those few seconds Eternal will need to make a clean escape. Hopefully he'll resist the temptation to pause and amuse himself at the fox's predicament though as he's got a prize maybe that's more on his mind.
As for the other fox, well he is a canine but with it being a Halloween picture he might not have chosen the wisest place to mark his territory, given the possibility that scarecrow could be of the animated variety. Still at least those bats flying overhead might get some amusement from the antics of the ground dwellers, and I suspect admire the scenery like those beautiful pine conifers.
Another beautiful piece and an amusing one from Macha, and I hope the both of you had a pleasant day.
