As a follow-up to my previous 'photo-op' - - here's another scene from the Halloween, 2017 meeting of Scrabble Club 276 (at Veterans Park in Lauderhill, Florida), this time featuring yours truly...
As mentioned last time, I came to said holiday meeting, in attempt to win the annual prize. Club President Sandee Bloom was giving it away to the player who can come up with the best word associated with Halloween (during the first two of three games). After enough words are collected, all members would vote for the most apropos word.
In past Halloween meetings, words like "BOO" and "SCARY" - both supplied by moi - were winning entries. This year, there were slim pickings from most of the members. Among the words submitted for voting in the first two games were "TROLL", "EEK", and "BROOM". The overall winning word was "BAT", provided by... Well, modesty prohibits me to say.
The Halloween, 2017 prize was an orange bucket with a jack-o-lantern face on it, and a large box of Whoppers (candy)! One of the Scrabble Club 276 members used the digital camera feature of my tablet to take a picture of me with said prize (while standing in front of the "Welcome to Scrabble Club" sign). At least, I was dressed for the occasion - wearing a "Megaplex"T-shirt with 'werewolves' and 'ferret zombies' on it (as the 'theme' for that year's 'furry con' was 'horror films').
BTW, I'd lent the bucket to my friend (and "FA" contributor)
Funimal, for him to serve the Whoppers (and other candies) to 'trick-or-treaters' on October 31st.
