I honestly cant help but think its traditional...it looks like it was painted, penciled, and airbrushed. So well done, you have complete mastery of light and reflection and anatomy. Also, nice tch with your signature...making it look like you fingered fogged cold glass.
I'm not sure if anyone else has ever seen it, but this actually reminds me of a song in a children's movie. It was Ferngully: The Last Rainforest, where the evil guy Exis was singing about Toxic Looooove xD But of course this picture is WAY better! ;D
I really like this picture, though. Big cats are so awesome, and I love seeing artists draw them really fierce and angry. The fur is ridiculously touchable, though I wouldn't touch that goo! and the wings looks realy, like they actually have volume to them and could allow the character flight. Those eyes and that mouth just drag me right in... Wonderful work!

Rah this is so epicly awesome. I know it has over 500 favs so another comment on it probably doesn't faze you, but I am gunna anyway.
It simply blows me away. Most of your art does. I feel unworthy to even be noticed, uuuugh your art is so... powerful.
it almost makes me sad for whatever reason. But anyway, I really like this piece. I always see it and forget you drew it. I think you need to draw mooooooar >8I

Seriously, this is wicked awesome!!
But don't just take my word for it (or that of the other fuzzballs above): A week ago, I came out as a furry to my best RL friend, and showed him a slide show I had prepared with ~40 or so of my favourite furry artists and art pieces. This particular work was in there, and garnered one of the most positive reactions of them all. My friend couldn't help himself spontaneously making an impressed "oh" sound when I first showed him the pic; it really is that cool!
Conclusion: Black Oil---appreciated by furs and nonfurs alike! :)

This looks identical to the technique of Patrick Woodroffe. I am impressed!
