Continuing my special Thanksgiving edition of "Throwback Thursday" for my latest 'sweeps month' (November, 2017), I have another 'photo-op' with a featured bird from the Palm Beach Zoo at Dreher Park in West Palm Beach...
Back in the last decade,
Funimal and I got to visit a section of Everglades National Park, which featured a unique viewing site - where tourists got to see a small flock of roseate spoonbills (a native Florida avian creature, known for its spoon-shaped beak).
Well, in visiting the Palm Beach Zoo (a few months ago), I got to see a spoonbill, up close and personal and (using my disposable camera) I got to picture of him in its caged enclosure.
I'll have more pix of our feathered friends on this holiday of giving thanks. And if any of you plan to visit south Florida in the near future, go to https://www.palmbeachzoo.org for more information about this unique place.
