As "Throwback Thursday" continues in my latest 'sweeps month' (November, 2017), I have another Thanksgiving offering, in the form of more bird 'photo-ops' - taken (with my disposable camera) at the Palm Beach Zoo at Dreher Park in West Palm Beach...
A symbolic bird, native to Florida, is the pink flamingo - each known for their long legs and neck, and their unmistakable beak - who became the icon for suburban life (in the form of plastic replicas that adorn the lawns of residential homes across America).
I had a rare opportunity to take a picture of this pair of pink flamingos - whose necks and beaks almost resemble a heart (as if these two were in love with one another)!
I'll have one more bird-related pic from this collection of snapshots from the zoo, in a little while. And if any of you plan to visit south Florida in the near future, go to https://www.palmbeachzoo.org for more information about this unique place.
