Continuing my presentation for the last "Throwback Thursday" of my latest 'sweeps month' (November, 2017), I have one more cat-related 'photo-op', taken (with my disposable camera) at the Palm Beach Zoo at Dreher Park in West Palm Beach, Florida (several months ago)...
Having seen the endangered Florida Panther and (its roommate) an American puma sharing the same enclosure, I was equally fascinated by a special bridge that links one area with another. The Panther Prowl Bridge - made with logs - allows the big cats to travel across, over the human spectators, to a special indoor environment, that will protect them from the elements (rain, hurricane-force winds, etc.), and also provides the zookeepers with adequate space to feed them (should the weather turn ugly, and they don't have the time for an outdoor feeding session for the public to view).
I'd lucked out in taking this 'photo-op', as the Florida panther chose that moment to cross the bridge. I hope you enjoy seeing this...
