Venti sat on the couch, his head buried in his hands as he slumped forward. "I can't believe you, Art," he said.
Art felt a pang of regret. He didn't want to have this talk with Venti, but he knew it was inevitable. He couldn't just overlook the subject; this was a bone of contention for them both, moreso for Venti. "I'm telling you the truth, Venti. You know I will never lie to you."
Venti moved his head to look up at Art, and for once he couldn't stand the sight of the lion. How could he do this to him? Why did he do this? Out of love? He'd rather have ignorance. "I know you won't, but couldn't you have just done it this once?"
Art hugged himself, and found he couldn't look at Venti. The look in the jackal's eyes was accusatory, as if he'd committed some terrible crime. "It's been on your mind for a while, you know it has."
"But still! I could have lived without you telling me this. You. YOU. "
Art couldn't take it any longer. "Come on, Venti! You make it sound like it's the end of the world. It's not. I'm sorry that you had to find out this way, but isn't it better you heard it from me?"
Venti looked at Art for several seconds, long enough to make Art want to speak again to fill the gap of conversation before it grew too large. Fortunately for the lion, Venti nodded amicably. "You're right, sweetie. It's not like we're breaking up. I'm just being a drama king." He reached over to take Art by the hand, and drew him onto his lap.
"Queen. The term is drama queen."
"I'm too macho to be anything but male. Drama king."
"Whatever, you vain jackal," he said, nuzzling Venti's unclothed chest.
"How did you find out?"
"I saw them kissing in his truck."
"Oh, I will bet you money that bull knew you were watching. He wants me to know."
"Maybe. So who cares?"
Venti frowned. "It's one thing to think Damon and Charles are dating, but for it to be Charles and Alexander? God hates me."

Well take a look at it from two points, the ego versus his heart.
His Ego was hurt because of Alexander yeah, he wants to beat the shit out of him and make him pay for that damage. But emotionally its all directly negative emotions. And least i heard Alexander was banned from ventis gym so no chance of those two meeting up not unless Alex was waiting for the big bear to finnish off and sure you could get a few good scenes out of it. And venti wouldnt want to make things volatile, he is learning how to be the bigger man on the inside. Yeah its tempting but i dont think he want charls to hate him for it.
Now lets take it from Damon side....hes alowed, if anything Charles might convince him to go to the gym with him. Venties confronted on a regular basis seeing someone who not only bruised his ego and hurt his heart but also exposed flaws in his personality that made him question weather or not he was worth being loved. Those questions and thoughts echo back onto his current relationship and can shake the flimsy foundation that art is still trying very hard to reinforce.
Someone you Hate....versus a confusing mix of emotions and questions that never got answered.
I personally would rather be around someone i hate then around someone who made me question my worth as a person.
