I was explaining Navajo fetishes to someone today and it was received with a concerned, disturbed look. I had to take time to explain that they're really statues that have ties to the concept of spirit animals, although now serve as souvenirs and collector's items. So I thought of making a cute drawing about that. Seriously tho why are they called fetishes?
