My writing's not the best, and this isn't exactly what happens, it's just a rough draft, but I still wanted to share it ^-^
The first half they're in their human forms, but the second half is as dragons.
Two days before the battle. Two days before the end to this war. Jil wasn't sure how to react. Everyone else was having one last 'party' of sorts before the big battle, but she couldn't. Not with everything that was on her mind.
"Hey, you know everyone's worried about you." Dausi, her second in command, sat next to her holding two drinks. He handed one to her, which she shook her head.
"I'm good, thanks." she looked over to him and smiled slightly, before looking back down to the ground. Dausi watched her, seeing she was scared.
"... Hey, you don't have to be scared." he set the drinks down on the small table between them and leaned forward. "We're all here for you. Me, Rinn, Kyo, Haku. All of us. Especially your men. You don't have to be scared, cause we'll have your back."
Jil sighed and leaned up. "I know you guys are all here. I'm just... sad that my dad isn't." she stood up, clenching her fists. "Why does Kojiro get to be here, and not dad? What has he done to deserve to be here?!"
Dausi looked up at her. He glanced down before standing and putting a hand on her shoulder. "I know you still resent Kojiro for what he did. But, you need to remember that it wasn't his fault. He wasn't in control of himself."
"..." Jil sighed and shook his hand off.
Dausi watched as she started to walk off.
"I'll be back later, alright. You're in charge until I get back."
It wasn't too long ago that Jil finished her training with Dausi to hone her skills as a dragon, so she decided to take a small flight to clear her mind. She flew at a slight angle upward, until she was considerably high in the sky. Thoughts raced through her mind. Thoughts of the battle. She prayed that everyone would make it out alive. That they would be able to defeat Chaos. Her mind kept wandering until she just let herself go.
This wind rushed past her as she fell. She kept thinking of her father. How he was always there for her, except now. She clenched her teeth and her eyes, tears starting to form.
A warm feeling washed over her face suddenly, and she opened her eyes. Her eyes widened.
"You have nothing to fear, Jil." he smiled, lightly placing his hands on her cheeks, wiping a tear away. We will always be here with you. You only need to look."
Time seemed to slow as the two fell. Jil choked on her words.
"..Dad..." she started to reach out to him but he shook his head.
"You made me so proud. And still you're exceeding my expectations of you." he continued. "Have faith in yourself and your friends and you will achieve anything."
He smiled once again and started to fade away.
"Dad, no! Please!" Jil started to swing her body around to catch herself as she reached out to him.
"I have faith in you." was the last thing he said before completely disappearing. Jil caught her self and idled on the spot. She could still feel his warm paws on her cheeks.
Upon landing, she changed back into her human form. His words rang through her head as she walked back to town.
"I'll believe in everyone that we'll make it through this.."
