Chilly days calls fer chili nights as m'mom used ta say an I couldn't agree more!
Even this quick an easy mild batch is always a welcome warmth goin' down ta yer tummy on cold nights...
ingredients:
1 roll ground beef (1lb)
1 roll of ground sausage (1lb)
1 large pawful of mushrooms (sliced)
1 thick slice from a large white onion (diced)
1 medium sized tomato (diced)
1 small can of tomato paste
1 can of diced tomatoes
seasonings: chili powder, garlic powder and Nature's Blend (but may be seasoned ta preferences
directions:
take one large skillet ta fry up yer ground beef an sausage then when browned add in yer diced veggies, stirring till the veggies have started ta soften then add in yer cans of diced tomato an tomato paste then season an serve.
Love havin' jus' a bowl by itself or served with crackers ta make a great tummy warmer while ya chillin' with chili in fronna the telly... hope ya like it if ya try this :)

Woof!... yeah yer on 'the sunny side' right now... an even though it's winter here now in texas we usually don't get 'harsh' winters like they do up in the northern states... but still it does get downright chilly at nights an we've even recently had snow... so all the wintery/cold remedy cuisines are gettin' made more often heh :P
right at this moment its 2am after a super hot and muggy day and it's bucketing down, super heavy rain augmented with thunder and lightning. quite the display but we have the most wonderful breeze helping to cool the house down a bit and hopefully a few cooler days so I can do some baking. *hugs*
