Noch einen Piraten hopps genommen...^^
another pirate from Fafnir´s crew is taken prisoner.
I started to like the idea of Fafnir being a pirate and so I started to create some more pirates to give him a crew with unique individuals
Here we have an anthro unicorn, based on an old sketch I posted here a while ago.
His name is Parcival Henri de Unicorn, a french nobleman who had enough of the strictly organized life in the upper class society and joined Fafnir´s crew to experience freedom. He enjoys this life very much, talks freely about whatever comes to his mind. He is the cook and the doctor of Fafnir´s pirates for he had a good education.
And he is a real casanova, sometimes he acts like a snob, but he is relieable and true to his comrades.
(side note: All of Fafnir´s pirate share a certain detail: to express their membership to Fafnir´s crew, everyone of them wears something black on them. For example a black shirt, a black jacket, bandana, pants or a ribbon on the arm)^^
I screwed up with my current request and must redo it all so I did some quick doodles and gel marker pics like this to relax a little^^

actually Parcival Henri, this unicorn guy is the cook and the doctor of the crew in one person. He has the best level of education among his crew members for he was a noble to beginn with before he had chosen the prate´s life

An anthro lion I have drawn long time ago, originally some kind of oracle in a fantasy setting, he is now the quartermaster of the pirates. He has an eyepatch and his character is rather creepy, because talking with him would be like talking with multiple persons^^

Although there are some people I know who look good (or at least better) with a beard. I have an uncle who has a beard, he had one all the years I knew him. But then for a while, he had shaved it off. And he looked *weird* without one. Not necessarily bad, just... *weird*. Fortunately he grew it back and things have returned to normal. XD
interesting story. And I know what you mean. If you have known someone having a beard for all of your life you have gotten used to this look. If the beard is removed, the face behind looks weird.
I remember one of my favorite actors, the recently departed Bud Spencer who had a beard all of his life, but in one movie he had shaved the beard off and I needed several minutes to recognize him because he looked so strange without the beard^^

Unicorns as pirates might seem an unusual combination but given the connection between the narwhal and apparent unicorn horns and the unicorns ferocity in the myths, it's a combination I think works well. Freedom as well fits in, with Parcival Henri wanting to escape the restrictions of a nobleman's life and unicorns only able to be tamed with a virgin, which could also fit with him being a Casanova. His reliability and loyalty, and being highly educated not to mention a stylish dresser, I imagine he'd still be considered noble, just in the true sense of the word rather than as an aristocrat.
A nice touch as well with the black clothing to indicate membership in Fafnir's crew, easy to incorporate it as an individual touch for each crewmember, of whom I imagine they're are quite a few more to meet given the size of the average crew. In this case, swashbuckler style with the shirt and I could see Parcival Henri as an accomplished fencer, and probably pulling off stunts with flair all to impress the ladies. Very nice touches as well with the hairstyle, incorporating the mane and the goatee unicorns possess, albeit rather neat and tied with a ribbon, as befitting a unicorn of class.
I think though he'll be wanting some assistance in escaping, as captured as he is I imagine he'd be going to be hung, but he's just been informed that first they'll be cutting off his horn...

thanks very much for this very nice comment. Again a very well done analysis of this character. And you have spotted all the hidden symbols given with Unicorns and water in general. I am very impressed.
Indeed he for a short while will feel the noose arround the neck, but at the end Parcival and his crewmembers will be saved because Fafnir comes to an agreement with the authority of the island country they are currently in. They will become privateers^^
