RPG, Tank, kaBOOM!
Found this photo taken with me with an honest to God, REAL RPG-7 grenade launcher captured in Iraq. The round is dewatted, this RPG is a Federally registered Destructive Device. Yes, its a working RPG. It was hella cool handling this hunk of military design. More curious though, especially since Russia, China has no qualms over copying our gear and using it, why the US hasn't 'borrowed' this design as well.
Somewhere, there are the Commie Furs on FA WISHING that it was them holding this. I can think of a couple hard core ones especially, and they think holding a Mosin Nagant makes them all badass.
Pondering making this my FA ID image.

I think its partly down to "Americanizing" something.
Most thinks that have been used in various wars where modified and adapted for the US use, like the Spitfire and Harrier, but the RPG could be seen as something that could not be modified for US use because...there is little to nothing to change.
My guess is the idea was used for the likes of the LAW and maybe even the Javlin

Well, the launcher is pretty much just a pipe with handles. I'm guessing the most expensive component is the sight.
The early versions of the thing only had one safety, that little metal cap on the tip that covered the piezo button. current versions have a setback safety that keeps it from arming until it reaches a minimum safe distance after launching.

You just proved that you haven't seen Marvel's "The Avengers"

I walked around on GTA V with an RPG in front of the police and they killed the guy smoking next to me wearing the dumbest, brightest outfit they can find, he looked like moosnuckle's GTA character, I think they were the fasion police or something, "There's a man wearing a suit and a tactical helmet!", "Nevermind that, there's a fasionable hipster smoking a cig! GET HIIIIM!!!!!"
