Matthew wake up gasping with pupils small but not bleeding. He held his chest as the clouds rumbled outside then hugged himself after lightning flashed in the window. Remember all that happened while he dreamed. The First hunted him down like an animal in its house. It knew that place in his head, what he was thinking. "It killed me." Was the only thing he could make out as they all looked at him. Their ears lowered as they looked to eachother; they kept exchanging looks till they all looked at.
"It killed you?" Brian asked "He killed you in your dream, and in your world?"
Matthew paused for a moment, then looked around for his shadow. "Where are you?" he thought in his head. "Actually, Where were you in my dream?"
"We fell asleep when ye did, Lad." Lass said in his head "In my dream, I was on the sides lines of some party inna school. Then these three guys cam up; a dog, bull, and panther. I ran but then The First tackled me and bit into my shoulder."
"He killed me too." Brian said.
"He got all of us?" Matthew exclaimed.
"All of you?" Jake asked "You mean you like had seperate dreams? And this killer personality was in all three of them?"
Matthew looked at him slowly, then nodded.
"Okay then.." Jake seemed hesitant and looked into one of his text books.
"You pour thing," Kari said and sat beside him "That had to have been horrible."
"How? It's a dream." Tori said "You can't die in a dream, it's just scary."
"Let him have this, Tori!" Sera growled in defense "You got no idea how it was."
"Based off his emotions, I do." Jake said and closed his book, "The worst is that my book as nothing on this kind of work. For all we knoe we're dealing with something completely new to psychology." He handed Kari the book "If you want to take a look you can, maybe I missed something. I need to figure out other options we have."
"What if its a demon?" Sera asked "It could be one, one that's been in him for this long.
The two talked as Kari looked over the book, but once Tori started to enter conversation, kari ran to Sera's side as an argument was on the horizon.
Matthew took the text book next and looked through the pages. "Anything?"
"I'd know if you didn't turn the pages so fast." Brian said, "The First must be really rooted in us if he could appear in all our dreams at the same time."
"Did we learn anything about it thought from this?" Matthew asked.
"Well... we learned that it knows us better then we know it." Brian said, and watched as Matthew closed the book and stood up. "So, are we now going to go see a psychiatrist?"
Then, in a flash and boom of lightning, he was standing over Jake while he was bleeding on the floor. The text book on his neck as he laid on the floor.
"Jake!" Tori shouted and knelt down to him.
Kari grabbed matthew and shoved him to the wall, and held him there despite him not struggle.
Matthew looked at her confused, feeling the pain of her crushing his arms into the wall. "Kari, cut it out." He said with a whine, but then saw Sera and Tori by Jake on the floor, and his ears drooped to the back of his head. "No..."
Tori was the the first to look at him. "What the hell is wrong with you?" She shouted, and thunder growled outside.
"I-I didn't do.. I cou-"
"Stop blaming him!" Kari barked at Tori, letting go of Matthew "It's not his fault!"
Matthew's mind still fell upon Jake "It was here.." he whispered to himself, and looked around the room. Lightnight flashed again, from the window, but he didn't see Lass in the reflection. When lightning flashed again, it was standing just outside the window. "No... No!"
The others looked at him as he backed away to the door, but Matthew's eyes were on The First, watching its hands start to pull the window open, "Stay away from me!" and then he bursted out the door.
