“If someone told you to die, would you do it?”
Glancing back over her shoulder, Whisper darted over the snowy slopes and mountainside in a snowmobile she “borrowed.” The person she got it from certainly would not need it anymore considering where he was going. But she did not have time to gloat over that right now as she heard a round of gunshots nearby, causing her to accelerate and try to get some distance between herself and her persistent, unwanted company.
"How the hell do I keep getting myself into these situations?" she muttered to herself, though she already knew the answer. She PUT herself into these situations! But then…that was why she is one of the best out there right?
…or that is what she has to keep reminding herself- that and she likes money. Money buys nice things, like new exercise gear, food, and shiny weapons! Snapping back to reality, she looked ahead- only a few more miles and she would be home free as she recognized some of the trails up ahead. So how did she get herself into another one of these situations?
She had just finished a routine mission: it seemed too easy to be true...she finished the kill in less than five minutes. She even had time to raid his refrigerator for a snack and clean her blade off. Humming to herself, she made herself a turkey sandwich and chips before heading off- no point in letting good food go to waste and she still has a busy night ahead of her so she might as well fuel up.
Suddenly, she felt an ominous presence around her, but as she tried to flee the house, she felt herself being surrounded by a roomful of men wearing matching black trench coats and hoods. She let out an exasperated groan as she put down her sandwich on the counter and pulled out her katana once more…she could not believe she fell for such an obvious trap! But then the evidence was right in front of her the whole time: how easily her target went down without a fight, no witnesses or henchmen around before or after the kill. He did not even scream as she put the blade to his heart. As if he knew he was just a pawn…
They considered him disposable, so sacrificing him to draw her out was a small price to pay. And now...
(To be continued…)
I left this description short on purpose as kind of a cliffhanger…that and I plan on getting this piece in color and upgraded down the road so I will continue the story then! In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy Whisper’s winter adventures! With winter winding down in another month or so, she is making the most of the terrain and using it to do what she does best: stir up chaos and tick off folks left and right as she dodges potential death!
Her outfit and theme of this piece was inspired by tiido. He showed an outfit to me a few months back: a winter version of Kill Bill’s infamous yellow and black outfit. And my imagination just kind of took over from there, haha. As I said, this piece will be upgraded later on but heck, I liked this version much not to post it so enjoy~

Yes, loving money will lead one like her into such situations. Plus the fact, that the target was a willing pawn who when told to die. Yeah, there are those out there, and she ought to be scared. The best can fall for such.
Great job by Cylnx.
And l'll be looking forward to more of this scene.

Haha, Whisper knows that the only way to get the things she wants in life involve money. Money requires work, hard work...even if it means risking death sometimes (or A LOT in her case) but she gets the job done.
Yes, once again cy delivered! I am glad you like it; I caught it when he had that New Year's sale earlier this year. Hoping to get more from him down the road, including this piece upgraded...we shall see.

You know...I often contemplate what era Whisper belongs in or is from: she is often drawn as a samurai, assassin, warrior- most of which do NOT exist in modern day (that we know of at least). But occasionally I like having her drawn in modern day scenarios and situations just for a change of pace! But I see your point, her on a snowmobile is definitely unorthodox to say the least, lol
Thank you, I am glad you like it! Winter is almost over so it probably won't be upgraded until later this year when her coat changes colors again- ah well, something to look forward to~
