This is the fourth of a set of 9 refs for Skaig. He is a Hellhound, and due to this, he travels both the realms of the living and dead. As he navigates through the different circles of hell found in the story of Dante (Specifically Inferno), he morphs and twists into different forms.

This is the fourth circle of hell : Greed.

In this form, Skaig's body is morphed into it's most disturbing form for the final circle - the realm of the traitors. His body freezes over, killing the outside skin and turning it, as well as his fur to a pale blue / white. His skull's structure remains the same, but is turned to an ice harder than steel, bluing his visage. His teeth become mangled and bloodstained razors, and his eyes become lost in his sockets, to give the appearance of a soulless traitor who has betrayed those who trusted him in life. Sharp, icey spines sprout from his neck, while his spine protrudes from his back, revealing they too are made of solid ice. His tail's flesh dies and falls to the ground, leaving only the icy skeletal structure remaining, as well as some of the remaining dead hair, which froze to the icy bones. All in the realm of traitors know him as one of their own, a cold, devious backstabber, allowing him to traverse the final and coldest circle of hell with little or no resistance. As always, his ancient runes shift in their meaning and further protect him from the horrors of the circles of Hell.
