Full-background illustration commission for of the infamous Vicky the Plant Cobra (she's part plant and NOT a Naga, fyi... ^_~ )
This is actually the 12th and final piece of the series, if I'm thinking correctly - I have been commissioned nearly every month for the past year to create art of Vicky featuring her ever-changing seasonal appearance. Sort of a calendar set actually. :) Each month we chose a new setting and decided what the foliage attached to her body might look like, so each month was a slightly new challenge and variation of the same character. This one was for the month of May and I was asked to put her in an asian style garden, and I played around with the more stylized background elements which is always really fun. I'm particularly happy with the Japanese maple tree. :3
