If he uses RAW format with his camera, perhaps http://rawstudio.org/ might help him.
By the way, what model camera does he use?

I'm curious about what he uses and why, both in terms of camera and software. As for the camera, mine is an EOS 350D (aka the Digital Rebel XT); brought it after my Sony P-71 bit the dust and it's the best £700 I've spent yet.
From a technical viewpoint, the photos are pretty good. They're well lit and in focus, which are the two most important things in my book. Some of the photo-editing could stand to do with improvement - for example, the tail in http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2693710/ (by comparison http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2693645/ looks more natural) - but practice makes perfect, and I certainly couldn't do any better!

Amazing! You can brag and kiss a** at the same time! He's very jealous of you & your camera now. But since we have yet to hit the lottery, he'll just keep dreaming of having that camera. He said the $100 Nikon (CoolPix90) is the camera he's used for all the pics posted here so far. But he still uses the Canon 35mm for the serious stuff. Will post one if you like.
It's not the camera, but the person behind it that counts. I've known people with a decent camera who can't take a photo to save their lives and made the camera look really crappy as a result. I think the old Sony produced some excellent shots - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2058537/ for example. And a 350D can be picked up pre-owned for US$220, it seems.
Never had a 35mm camera myself (first I had was a 110mm). And yeah, I'd like to see, please!
