Dog was sitting there and the cat started rubbing against him. Tor (9 month old Great Pyrenees, still a pup at a 100 lbs or so.), lowers head to touch noses but is met with a full blown cat head butt instead. Tor puts his paw across Tom's back and Tom lays down followed by Tor. Tom then rolls over and rolls back and forth, thus getting a belly rub, (Tom likes his belly rubs!). Some time during this sequence, Tor removed his paw but Tom hit him with another head butt so Tor put his paw across Tom again.
It's been interesting watching the relationship develop between these two since Tor was small pup.

This is exactly the story of my cat Huberus.
Tho, both were babies at the time!
Huberus was a kitten hardly more than a handful of fluff, our roommate at the time had a golden retriever puppy.
The puppies favorite chew toy? You guessed it, our kitten!!! And our kitten was more than happy to play with his friend! I’ve had good cats before, but he grew into the most feline looking dog I’ve ever seen!!!
