subject; Haribon KingdomThe Haribon Kingdom was once one of the largest kingdoms in the Kapuluan Archipelago. Its was founded approximately in 871 where it expanded from Mindanao to the present-day location of Hanginhari. At its height, the Haribon Kingdom was one of the most powerful entities in Southeastern Asia. Although it was powerful and rivaled the then-existing Bukarot Kingdom at the time, it slowly began declining in 1879 due to the rise in power and efforts by the early Hanginhari in reaching out beyond the archipelago up until the Kingdom's dissolution in 1968 where its remains were assimilated into Hanginhari society.
Like many kingdoms that existed in the Kapuluan Archipelago, the Haribon Kingdom had a Maharlika or Warrior caste. The most feared and respected members of the Haribon Maharlika were female warriors who often took up the position of commander. There are debates on when the Haribon Maharlika formed as historical and archaeological evidence point them being formed roughly 33 years after the Haribon Kingdom's formation.
