Hits And Missus (A Tale Of The Temporal Corps) (STORY)
From 1992, here's the story of how Matt and Tali met, originally appearing in TaliVisions #2 (if you want to see the original illos by
steamfox, you'll have to wait for the CD-ROM collection...or see if you can track down one of the original copies. There are about 150 or so out there. Good luck.)
Anyhoo, this was written when I was heavily into Heinlein, which is why it still holds up pretty good nearly twenty years later. It also explains why Tali talks like a Heinlein heroine, as opposed to her slightly more stilted and formal speech in later stories (such as 'Happily Ever After' or her cameo appearance in 'Duet for Pride and Piano'
So, enjoy the tale and see how many cultural references you can pick up on (there are at least three TV shows referenced); a special No-Prize to whoever guesses them all!

Whups! Never DID get around to posting the rest. Ah, well, in no particular order:
Aston Martin DB4: Issued to a certain MI6 agent.
Modified Walther P-38: The UNCLE Special from "The Man From UNCLE".
Home alternity: Reference to Bugtown, from "Those Annoying Post Brothers".
Colonel Charles Grey: AKA Colonel White, SPECTRUM, from the original "Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons".
Solar Defence Forces: An oblique reference to the Extraplanetary Defence Forces from "Albedo".
Captain Ed Wilkie: AKA Doctor Fawn, SPECTRUM.
TempCorps Table of Organization: Based on UNCLE, as is the organization itself.
Enjoy! :)

I forgot to add Reggie's page:

What I recommend is going through the stories in chronological order. 1936-37 was a rather eventful time on Spontoon...
