We all know Sully's history started with him as a symbiotic suit to Lyin years ago, when he used the name Impact.
When he gained sentience, he left that name behind, taking on his own name, Sullivan, as an independent being
Now with some experience and wisdom, he's learned that the past isn't something to turn away from but to embrace an channel; Impact is Sully's purest form, suppressing any urges for chaos and channeling his power and abilities to help those in need and do some good.
Unfortunately, it take a lot of energy and concentration to maintain this form, and the likelihood of him bursting back to black is extremely high when under pressure or tempted by his indulgences in any way.
