It has been a while. Over the past three years I have worked on art pieces, I just never completed them. Or, they would just be simple sketches.
This is my first actual piece done in Clip Studio Paint. The similarity to Manga Studio 5-EX is amazing.
As will probably become the normal for me from now on, I have inked this in Sai.
I originally intended to make this a little more detailed, but the more I worked on it, the more I felt the simple path was the way to go. As such, there is a lot of shading I intended for the curtain, originally, they I ended up removing as I did not like how cluttered and messy it was looking. I also feel a little weird violating the "Rule of Thirds", but in this situation, it seems to fit.
As with previous work, I kept with two colours. Black and White. Unlike other pieces I have done in the past, I have also used a soft eraser technique to create a form of negative space so as to not have all of my lines be so hard. Specifically, her eyes, hair, and areas of shadow behind the curtain. I am curious if that looks like it actually worked or not.
I have named the piece ふふっ, or FuFu. Not exactly sure how to explain the っ part there. Almost like an exclamation mark, but not quite.
ふふっ is an onomatopoeia for a sly laugh that is almost entirely exclusive to females. It is considered quite sexy.
As usual, questions, comments, other considerations are more than welcome. Thank you.
