...which prove, after a long interval, to be fruitful.

'Twas my thoughts as well... a snidely said and barbed, but possibly not factually true, jab at the Wolf Queen's psyche. He knows she did not react well to his night with Ooo-Er just as he does not react well to WW3's bow. These two know all too well how to hit the other exactly where it hurts.
When he was quoting it I was for a moment metaphorically scratching my head trying to remember where I had heard those lines before and then I remembered the blind seer of Vulpes-Vulpes.
I did not think we'd ever get to talk to WW4 and WW3 but now that we have it is clear that WW5 is a solid blend of them, in fact of all of his predecessors, a [teashor], a love of stories and wit, a barracks lawyer who the squaddies respect, a buck of contemplation and strategy, a bowman.... and, of course, the bearer of the Skirt Chaser's mantle.
