Neat, I love the background Rat Trap. I'd have to admit when I first saw the new versions it took quite a bit of getting used to.

And to think, he was my favorite character in the original series. I'm just glad to see other people still remember Beast Machines.

I used to love this guy, then he got into a cyber accident and yup got all screwed.

Wimp? I think not! His tail could interface with a multitude of objects and later in the series, he creates grenades to lob. He's small, sneaky, and of questionable alignment when the going gets hot. I'd rather have him then someone like...like..silverwolf, or whatever his name was! Humph!

What always got me in Beast Machines was Cheetore's, totaly raped his name, change from being the kid who always gets in trouble to being second in command, which was Rattrap's possition. His voice still rings fondly in my mind "We're all gonna die."

His snark was my favorite part of any episode. Every time.

Haha, I love Rattrap. "The Weak Component" was one of the strongest episodes in BM's first season.

Yeah, I was pretty upset with they turned my favorite Maximal commando into an Afterschool Special reject...he didn't even seen to have the same personality in the show. I mean, c'mon, BOTANICA..?

Honestlly, almost all the characters ended up being almost caracatures of themselves in BM. They took one aspect of their personality, and exaggerated it beyond all logical sense.

God, I remember that. I was like, "The fuck happened to rattrap?" when I came in the middle of that episode.

That's very right, RatTrap was my favorite BW character for his personality and his design...the designers got quite carried away when they did Beast Machines, the only decent design was Primal's. =(

I always thought he looked like Urkle in that series XD Poor Him indeed, tis a shame that some of the more important/cooler characters either got killed off or changed drastically in Beast Machines.

Rattrap did the best he could with what he had to work with. That's all I ever really cared about.

Yes, but he was the technical expert of the group. I didn't feel he got a bum-deal; being able to speed along when you're caught hacking a network sounds useful >_>

Beast machines Rattrap is Enzo Matrix from Reboot in a wheelchair.

Still, I do like his design. I just wish they had made him a bit more competant and maybe given him at least a weapon of some sort.

I guess his design wasn't as bad as the BM Megatron looking as though he was wearing a big metal moomoo,but still,taking weapons and stealth away from Rattrap (not to mention his wise@$$ personality) is like taking the original Starscream and making him into a human-loving,friendly and unquestionably loyal subject. I love this Pic though,and I like how the older Rattrap is ghosted in the background. Definite Fav. ^^ Though if anybody got the nasty end of the stick...I'd say it was Rinox.

Agreed. All the cockiness and cool part of his character was ripped away in the transformation. Though undoubtedley the loss of Dinobot as a verbal rival could have contributed to that.

I was terribly disappointed with his Beast Machines design, but I loved his BM beast mode design. I think what bothered me the most though was that his eyelids were always half shut, lol

Gaaah, it's so true. I can enjoy Beast Machines if the mood is right, but for the most part, I just call it AU and pretend it never happened. Beast Wars ending happily is so much more satisfying.

Rattrap does look adorable here though. Poor guy. "MY LEGS. MY BEAUTIFUL LEGS--"

Yeah I felt bad for Rattrap, he was easily one of my favourite Maximals in Beast Wars. Beast Machines was not kind to him but he still had his good moments.
