Both written, and spoken, I think it's great. For me, it's a real evocation of how sheerly frustrating it is these days to try to talk to, well, anyone really, without immediately being kicked right into the snakepit by people whom you assumed were otherwise reasonable people.
Honesty should be the best policy... but, alas.
