This comes from the comments of Feral's Funeral; the aforementioned story was written in 2015 when Gary Owens (the voice of Commander Ulysses Feral) died.

Anh: The Eternals are taking care of the Feeder Foxes so that leaves behind GSAF and Shin Britannica for now.
Theo: Factories have changed drastically a lot and buffets are disappearing. Now more people are working in factories that produce bamboo and hemp fibers as they are profitable yet environmentally sustainable. Plus its easy to grow them indoors and they grow very quickly.
Chuong: The Feeder Foxes are down and GSAF seems to be taking over their place and agendas for their own. But then if we let Shin Britannica defeat the GSAF out of the UK and we defeat the GSAF, then we have to deal with the unpredictability of Shin Britannica.
Jack: Wait, I thought it was Neo Britannica. Why Shin?
Chuong: Eastern language designation which spilled out to neighboring countries. In Japan and China at least in their languages, Shin means New or Neo hence there and neighboring countries, we call them Shin Britannica. Even Neo Britannica, with a few of their officers being from eastern Asia, say "Shin Britannica" both in their native languages and in English at least because of regional influences in my part of the world. Of course some of us will call them Neo Britannica too since they're the same thing.
Jack: So for example, Liu the Confucian Lion can either or even interchangeably say "Neo Britannica" and "Shin Britannica" but both have the same exact meaning.
Chuong: Correct.
