"Feather fingers" is a concept that only comes natural to cartoonists. If you look at it from an anatomical point of view, it will break your brain (like most toony stuff would).
I have a foot in both worlds, and I've broken artists' brains before with my toonier stuff. Good on ya for giving the idea a whirl.
