You tell em Mavra
Mavraster was MIA for over two weeks from FM, many of us were worried, this wasn't like her to at least notify someone what was going on.Several of the regulars on FM suggested I do a police welfare check since I had Mavra's personal contact info. I called Portland police and asked them to check on Mavra.
The next day Mavra's father called me and informed me what had happened. Mavra did have a minor stroke back in late June and was immediately put on the needed drugs. On the 28th , Mavra said she was feeling fine to go on a short vacation with friends camping along the coast for 3-4 days. Mavra was last heard from on the 29th. Seems while getting ready Mavra had yetanother stroke, same place, but this was a aneurysm this time. Mavra's father immediately called 911 and she was rushed to the hospital.
Mavra is having difficulty speaking, moving her right arm, but fully aware whats happened to her and that its going to be a long, slow process rewiring the brain to get things moving again. She's currently in ICU and soon will be moved to a special needs nursing facility.
Her father has promised me to keep me informed on her progress and whats going on.
Mavraster is a fighter and will not go down without a fight. But right now she's going to need your thoughts, positive vibes and prayers for her recovery.

My best wishes for her swift recovery, with no further complications.
As to the pic, I believe I have a perfect caption for it:
"Mavra has a near-Death experience, which means, unfortunately, that Death must suffer through a near-Mavra experience."
(With apologies to the late Terry Pratchett, who used the concept earlier, and frankly, better than I.)
